Dreaming of Horses Debuts at BreyerFest's Celebration of Horses Evening!

The troupe will present Dreaming of Horses, a 13-act equine extravaganza written and choreographed by Yvonne Barteau and will also feature the talented Dan James of Double Dan Horsemanship. The 65-minute show will include ten horses, as well as costumed riders and dancers. Among the acts will be East Meets West starring Yvonne and Dan James; as well as All the King's Horses, Alice and Wonderland and many other favorites that audiences will recognize.

Dan James was born in Queensland, Australia on a small cattle farm, where he first began his lifelong passion with horses at six weeks old. In 2008, James joined his good friend, Dan Steers, in Western Australia at El Caballo Spanish Horse Centre where they performed together each weekend in the "Dan and Dan Show" developing their horsemanship techniques. In 2009, Steers and James relocated to New South Wales and Double Dan Horsemanship was born leading both young stars down the Pathway to Liberty. Dan has won the "Way of the Horse," at Equitana Asia Pacific and the coveted Road to the Horse International Colt Starting World Champion title.

Yvonne, born in Toronto, was not fortunate enough to be around horses while growing up. Determined to have a life with horses, she spent all of her free time learning everything she could about horses. After high school Yvonne made up for lost time, beginning her equestrian career as a Standardbred racing groom; later advancing to assistant trainer. After learning her trade in other training jobs, Yvonne began to focus on dressage when she realized that all of her training was grounded in that discipline. She honed both her dressage skills and experience in equestrian theater during her time with Arabian Nights Dinner Theater in Florida where she also met her husband, Kim! When Yvonne and Kim moved to Illinois to take head training positions, KYB Dressage began to take form. Today, KYB Dressage has earned a reputation for importing quality dressage prospects and developing clients who have gone on to qualify for World Championships and World Cups.
